The Unconscious Mind

The Unconscious Mind

Although Sigmund Freud was not the sole discoverer of the unconscious mind, he is given a majority of the credit for bringing this theory into the mainstream. Freud believed that there were underlying levels of the mind beneath the conscious one, and it is these hidden levels that dictate much of the behavior of an individual, especially the abnormal behavior:  Freud’s main area of interest. Along with the theory of the unconscious mind, dream analysis, emotional catharsis, free association and the stages of sexual development, Freud founded the psychological school of psychoanalysis. However, I don’t like Freud, or his stupid beard and round spectacles. He has caused me years of anguish in undergraduate psychology courses, and therefore, that is the last honorable mention he gets!

The Unconscious Mind and Body

It seems that at the time this idea was presented, many people reacted to it in a negative way. After all, who likes the idea that they are not in full control of their own mind and body? It can also be seen as an excuse for misbehavior: “It’s not my fault; the unconscious demons from an unfulfilling childhood made me commit murder!” More important than this debate is the application of the theory of the unconscious mind to the human body. We certainly know a lot more about physiology than we did in the 1900’s. The unconscious mind is extremely important in that it controls the most vital functions of your body: your circulatory, endocrine, and respiratory systems to name a few.

Now, here’s an exercise in logic that we can all do together: if psionics is a matter of physiology, and the unconscious mind controls a vast majority of your physiology, then your physiology controls psionics! Groundbreaking, isn’t it? I agree. Some of you more astute individuals maybe be asking “how do you know there’s a connection between psionics and physiology?” That is a good question, and one that can only be answered by inferences made with scientific research. The use of psionics has been shown to deplete the body of certain vitamins and minerals (A big thank you to RainTurtle who has elucidated this phenomenon, and has been an overall spring of knowledge and inspiration). Furthermore, these deficiencies can manifest in the form of exhaustion-like symptoms, such as light headedness or dizziness. Furthermore, innovations in brain imaging have shown that certain brain structures become active when using psionics. However, at the time of this article’s creation, there have not been any definitive breakthroughs that pinpoint a certain brain structure or structures that are responsible for psychic activity.

How the Unconscious Mind Works With the Conscious Mind

Have you ever lost something, like your car keys, and despite tirelessly searching for them, you cannot find them, and then around five minutes later while straining your brain to remember where you left them, it finally comes to you? This sudden retrieval of memory that is not readily available is called the Incubation Effect. The Incubation Effect is a perfect demonstration of the power of your subconscious mind. I’m sure you’ve heard that our brain stores everything we experience in memory; however, this is highly suspect. The brain stores information that is meaningful to us.

For all intents and purposes, “meaningful” is defined as “reminiscent of previously experienced memory or knowledge”. If you are a huge fan of telepathy, as I am, you’d have an easy time remembering who Wolf Messing is since telepathy is important to me, and thus Wolf Messing is reminiscent of telepathy. However, where I leave my car keys does not hold much of significance, but just enough for my brain to record their last known location. Now, here’s the tricky part: the greater meaning a memory has, the easier it is to retrieve. In both the Wolf Messing and car key example, the subconscious works to find and then display the memory, but one memory has more meaning and therefore is more easily recalled.

One key concept becomes clear here: the subconscious mind can act independently by regulating the body, but it can also act in conjunction with the conscious mind. The keyword here is “retrieval”. The subconscious mind retrieves information for the conscious mind. Now it seems that the easiest way to perform a psionic ability would be to simply talk to your unconscious mind. “Yah, right, that’d be way too easy”, our mind/brain is geared toward memory production and retrieval, barring any brain underdevelopment. What our mind/brain is not geared toward is anomalous memory retrieval (I will be using the term anomalous memory to indicate information received via psionics). This may be a good explanation for analytical overlay when starting to learn remote viewing or telepathy. You ask yourself, or more appropriately your unconscious mind, “what does this location look like” or “what image is this person sending me”. Since your unconscious mind has not encountered a request like this before, it may search for logical conclusions from your actual memory. It seems though that your mind adapts, as it should with ample practice, and soon enough accurate bits of information seep through.

The Unconscious Mind and Input of Anomalous Memory

Here’s where it starts to get a bit hazy. How this information is actually received is subject to much scrutinizing, and hence various theories have been put forth, none of which are definitive. At this present moment in time, this author is less concerned with how it works, and more concerned with that it works . Perhaps with further reading and discovery, I can submit a general theory in a revision of this article.

I basically subscribe to the idea that in some manner, and at some level, there is interconnectivity between minds. Some think it’s an ether-like medium through which thoughts can be transferred, or perhaps even a sort of “matrix” that can be tapped into. One theory holds my particular interest, however, though I am skeptical about it.

If you assume that there is a bio-electric field that surrounds the body (this is something other than an artificially created shield construct), then this field is controlled by….yup, you guessed it: the unconscious mind. This field would obviously have an output function, in that the inner state of the human body is reflected in the field (energy workers base their practice on this assumption, e.g., a lack of strength in one area of the field can indicate weakness or disease). Perhaps this energy field can act as a two way street. Consider this flow chart:

Output of a Telepathic Thought : conscious mind forms an image -> image is given to the subconscious mind to send -> subconscious mind changes the image into a form of electric energy and sends it into the bio-electric field -> image/electric energy is picked up through another person’s bio-electric field.

Input of a Telepathic Thought : image/electric energy is picked up through another person’s bio-electric field -> subconscious mind changes the form of electric energy into an image and sends it into the mind -> image is retrieved by the subconscious mind -> conscious mind recognizes image.

Conclusion

Conclusions suck. If you absolutely need a recap of what you just read, then you should read it again. Remember: Freud, physiology, incubation effect, retrieval, and bio-field.

About Psionics

Psionics is defined the study and practice of using the mind to cause psychic phenomena, covering such things as Telepathy, Precognition, Telepathy, Clairvoyance and various other different psychic abilities, and is partly based on research done on psi, by parapsychology. The methods of practice within Psionics act as a useful framework to help an individual learn how to take advantage of these skills and abilities. Some of the practical applications of Psionics can vary greatly, such as using remote vision to work out where you lost an object, using mind-body interactions to help you heal from an illness at an increased rate(you should never use this in place of a licensed medical practitioner), or using precognition to help determine the outcome of an event.

Parapsychology, Psionics, Psychic Abilities and Research

Most of the research done into Psychic phenomena has been studied under the field of Parapsychology, and has used terms such as psi to describe the psychic phenomena. Within Psionics, psi is often viewed as a type of metaphysical energy that can be manipulated with the mind. Whilst ‘psi energy’ can be useful for conceptualizing and putting concepts into practice, the actual mechanic behind how it works is currently unknown, and the term used within Parapsychology does not make any assumptions about the nature of psi, and only discusses what can be observed, which is the ability to influence the environment, or gain information from the environment.

Psi / Psychic Abilities: A Brief Overview

Psi can be classified into distinct types of observable phenomena, Psychokinesis (Mind-Over-Matter) and Extra Sensory Perception. Another class of psychic phenomena, which involves mind-body interactions, and has been termed as DMILS (Direct Mental Interactions with Living Systems) within the scientific community, covers various aspects of using the mind to influence living matter and can cover aspects, such as psychic healing. Constructs act as a useful tool for allowing a person to conceptualize their goal, and most often, whilst not directly observable, can help with a variety of things including PK, ESP and Mind-Body interactions.

Such examples of Psychokinesis can range from manipulating Random Number Generators (Commonly used in experiments, as the results are easily measurable), sliding or rolling objects across a table, and in some other cases, involves manipulating the environment of an object to reach a goal. Some studies have even shown that PK is seemingly able to manipulate the past in an effort to reach your goal!

Extra Sensory Perception involves a person or subject, gaining information through seemingly impossible means. Such abilities in involve Telepathy (The ability to read minds), Remote Viewing (The ability to sense remote locations), retro/post-cognition (Seeing the past), precognition (Seeing the future). It also covers abilities such as Aura reading, Empathy and anything else that involves perceiving information.

Psionics also covers Constructs, which can be thought of as thought-forms (an idea or concept, used to direct your intenion), and commonly perceived as energy, which is normally created with the intention of focusing on a specific goal, and can be ‘programmed’ for specific purposes, examples of constructs includes a psi-ball, which is a ball, which one can ‘program’ or put their intentions into.

Psychic Phenomena and Risks

There are many things that one should be wary of when practicing Psionics. Psychic overloads are an example, and tend to come with several different symptoms. Psychic overloads can be caused by many different things, ranging from bringing in too much information via ESP, or pushing yourself for too much with PK. Symptoms of a psychic overload can include mild headaches, feeling and acting differently than you normally would, and in some cases, being a lot more tired than you normally would be, and feeling mentally exhausted. These however may be being caused by other things, and if they persist, please see a doctor as these symptoms may be signs of a serious illness.  Furthermore, Psionics has the potential to promote dissociative thought, so you should not practice Psionics if you have ever suffered from a mental illness such as schizophrenia or dissasociative disorder, as Psionics has the possibility of exacerbating symptoms related to those illnesses.  You should also be at least 18 to practice Psionics, and realize that by doing so, it is being done at your own risk.

Psionics vs. Psi

Psi, used as a scientific term, within Parapsychology, describes different forms of psychic phenomena, such as Psychokinesis (PK, mind over matter) and ESP (extra-sensory perception), without explicitly relating to the underlying mechanics.  Current psi theories tend to describe information moving from one place to another (These psychic or psi theories are out of the scope of this brief introduction).  The term Psionics, at least the term used commonly by the online energy communities(OEC), such as this website, tends to refer to a type of energy that can be manipulated with the mind, in order to achieve various different results.  Psi viewed in this context, is perceived as energy, and also seems to cover some of the psychological aspects of psi within its framework.

Whilst Psionics and its methods of practice are very useful for conceptualizing, and (hopefully!) learning psychic phenomena, it does not mean that this phenomena is actually “psychic” in nature, due to being unable to directly measure a specific “psionic energy” involved.  While psychokinesis(PK) and extra-sensory perception(ESP) can be viewed as working by a process of using “psionic energy”, the field of parapsychology tends to avoid labeling psi as such, and specifically only addresses what can be measured and observed though scientific study.

I notice that, including the comments…the desire to place the paranormal into a scientific box/explanation is paramount in this viewing. The last great bastion in life is the paranormal. We’ve placed too many boxes around too many things…and placed far too much respect in the hands of our antiquated “Doctors of Psychology”..ie as mentioned, Jung freud….(I agree with the author….woops….he was mentioned three times). I won’t dare get into institutionalized religion. (an opiate for the masses/no pun intended)
I have opened that psychic window, for the lack of a better term. I used to do readings for people (no fee), but…it bored me to tears. (people need you to spell out what they did the day before, or…what they’re going to do tomorrow….metephor is the medium of “IT”….hence, the frustration) What I’ve learned is, that it works. I used to doubt myself (self…oops….which one of the great masters put the self in a box?)…no longer.
I guess, in short…we’re evolving as a specie, and eventually all of us will be able to access “IT”….whatever “IT” is. Leave the science to the developement of the world, as….the mind is as elusive as a butterfly…and will always be. (less it wouldn’t be paranormal).
    Thank you,

    EDDIE

I concur with Ron on Carl Jung. Though Fraud was a very intellegent man, everything in human behavior can not be sexually based. Jung took up and went into areas Fraud was reluctantant to go for certain personal reasons. Yung, I believe is the father of modern psycology.

Concerning the reality of life, life is an illusion and is only as real as the mind perceives it and consequentlly, each perceives it differently. This is something we must all be aware of and use it to perpetuate compassion and peace.

A really great site. Much work into it. I want to thank you for it and all the writers too. I am a teacher, trained in electronics who found metaphysics. Later astral-traveled, and now I know how the ancients got the knowledge for building things. They accessed the akashic records. Also used the mental powers achieved from higher and built/levitated heavy items.
I am working to teach metaphysics in our schools as it will end crime, hate and greed.

I WILL TAKE JUNG OVER FREUD ANY DAY…

Freud verses Jung brings us to a study of positive and negative results of being. Is selfishness positive or negative? When one leverages for a false premise which is the foundation of their behavior that relates to life issues that play out to hurt others in the process unless honorable, the result is negative. It is what some call “false play” and is equated with individuals who are narcissistic in their positioning in life. They love the self over truth and what some say is altruistic or holy about existence.
Narcissistic theorist and their findings are usually targeted to your “rights” and your feelings (self-esteem) about existence within our national experience of liberty. Notice the word “your.” Most of the psychology used to back up the politically correct (P C) strategy utilized most by the liberally-oriented factions of our democracy are based on “Freudian” Psychology. (Sigmund Freud, 1856-1939, who was the founder of Psychoanalytic movement). Freud’s influence via his theories of neuroses and leveraging via sexuality (normal and abnormal) gradually gained favor among the politically minded and intellectual elite because of its power to mentally manipulate and interface with the human psyche. His works, such as Civilization and its Discontents, (1930) had immense impact on the modern strategy of social engineering via politically correct propaganda. This body of knowledge expresses the belief that anyone can leverage over another if selfish motives can be shown to be beneficial to the one who leverages the other. Those who love themselves above the other beings present in life will always support any contention that benefits themselves within event sequences of existence.

Freud’s audacity of leveraging sex into the open gave extroverts just the tools they needed for their social reinforcement. Now his socially accepted theory seems to reinforce the self-aspects rather than living with society through Love (though they have attempted to destroy the meaning of that word too).

Freud’s theories break down the linkage between the “me”(self) and the “object” (other – all of life outside, the “me”) perception of being. With today’s emphasis on me-ism, self-esteem, self-realization self-actualization and the emotional/feeling paradigm that is currently a topic of conversation, our nation faces the prospects of total division through narcissistic elitism. Now lawyers are aligning with the psychoanalytic movement and making new laws as they collude their way into higher and higher government positions. With every person out for themselves, what hope is there for a nation of people to face financial hardship and emotional challenge by accepting responsibility for their government, themselves and their families? Without social character and morals, a nation dies. In view of the programming we are getting on the propaganda machine (the national media elite), is it any wonder why gangs, crime, drugs, graft, divorce, child abuse, and on and on — is it any wonder, why our national character needs a new point-of-view?

Danah Zohar, in her book The Quantum Self, reflects on the power of narcissism as built upon by Freudian Psychology and how it can destroy human psyche if inculcated into a reason for behavior. This foray into liberal thinking (victimization) seems to sidetrack a being’s positive pathway toward human development. She suggests that the liberalism which saw its amplification in the 1960s was and is a result of the Freudian instruction and theory of being, found so prevalent at most major universities then and now.

Zohar states that: “The consequent selfishness, shallowness, alienation, and downright unhappiness of all these cosseted individuals (1960s self-awareness movement) are familiar concerns to many of us in our daily lines. The sad irony here is that in a culture that lays so much stress on the individual, his own sense of personal worth and power is so diminished. As many psychologists have noted, narcissism is more about self-hatred than self-love, and is commonly associated with feelings of emptiness, worthlessness, personal disintegration, and pent-up rage. These symptoms are the source of a great deal of social tension and personal pain, and have generated a whole popular literature that includes books like Lasch’s THE CULTUURE OF NARCISSISM and more recently, Allan Bloom’s THE CLOSING OF THE AMERICAN MIND. Both describe in graphic detail the side effects of too much emphasis on what I would call the particle (as opposed to wave – physics) side of our being.”

Zohar’s words then take us into a direction that humanity could have embraced rather than the Freudian way, with the theories of Freud’s colleague, Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961). The great Swiss psychiatrist’s works seem to not only comprehend Freud’s theories but go beyond and then back to the ancient traditions as well. Jung’s works in analytic psychology included the total being and his/her relationship to the universe. His studies of consciousness and spirituality reminds me of the work of the ancient Bodhisattva (he, who has attained the All), the Buddha-Gautama. In the same vein, his work also parallels the fresh new ideas of today’s modern physicists. Jung even predicted that nuclear physics and consciousness would someday merge in a kind of transcendental discipline not unlike Danah Zohar’s more recent theories of the quantum self. Jung, and later Zohar, saw the relationships between psyche and its influence on matter—“for how otherwise could it (mind) move (leverage) matter?”

Is Quantum Psychology – A Coherent Theory of Being? Danah Zohar, F. David Peat, — plus many other awakening scientists of the present reality are perhaps on to discovering the crux of human existence by focusing on the “light” of quantum mechanical processes. Zohar’s model of existence in the human consciousness is that the brain has two interacting systems. Coherency (synchronized jiggling of cell molecules) is accomplished with the Bose-Einstein condensate, which she associates with achieving levels of consciousness via the communication linkage of biophoton activity. The second is a computer-like linkage to the individual neurons of the brain. It is a quantum mechanical model. She believes that this dual system acts as one unit giving us our view on reality without the need of a supernatural realm for science to have to address. Perhaps she is on to at least how we interface with the laws of nature or the consequence of God’s Being.

Peat, a physicist/philosopher, has written extensively on “be-ness” in this reality we call life. In his book, The Philosopher’s Stone, (1991), he plunges as deep as Zohar, Bohm, and others into the development of verbal and mathematical tools that interface with the Laws of Nature. He reinforces the interconnectedness of the universe via mind and matter and like the ancients, retells how the very atoms (pixels?) that constitute manifest existence, communicate via photons (radiation) in a conscious-like flux of movement. He too, sees the power of the eastern philosophies as they play off of western physics. Peat also believes, as does the traditions of the ancients, that chaos is but unperceived order. Perhaps his most interesting observations are stated below. They seem to reinforce the old concept of Karma or the Laws of Consequence for human participants.

Read: Since the mind and body are deeply linked together, such a new wholeness will also spread to the body. Holistic meaning can therefore link people at all levels, from the mental to the physical and between a person and nature. Actions, conversation, decisions, and dreams emerge out of this resonance. And clearly, synchronisity would be one manifestation of this new type of activity.

We can also envision such outflowing of meaning at the cellular level (DNA). Within such a dialogue is also the possibility that molecular transformation can become the appropriate response to an overall change in meaning within the environment.

But disharmonious situations also exist in which the activity of a system is at odds with its surrounding environment. For example, conflict and division experienced by an individual can give rise to a very subtle form of damage to the brain. Just as subtle structures in the brain can respond to the ever-changing field of meaning in which they are embedded, so, too, a person whose levels of meaning are incoherent and confused will develop a brain that becomes increasingly insensitive. When mind and body are no longer in harmony, confused meanings enter the body and cause illness and disease. The result is a muted response to life and even bizarre, destructive and violent behavior.

    F. David Peat’s assumptions are corroborated by the ancient traditions, and contemporary research. Humans leverage their lives via deep seated causation that we must become aware of in order to better understand our reason for being. It appears that all this is wrapped up in a picture that we are just standing too close to, in an attempt to see the whole.

  1. […] People are becoming more and more emotionally imbalanced. Everywhere you look there is competition, condemnation and conflict. Most adults are seeking egotistical recognition. The children are being programmed to do the same. We live in a world that has nearly gone completely insane, because the so-called professional authorities are programmed to be psychologically fragmented, as well. Such authorities profess to be the ones with the answers to help subdue this mental turmoil that permeates the very foundational fabric of society throughout the world. However, all they end up doing is suppressing it, while the sickness festers deep within the subconscious of Mankind. And, hardly anyone seriously has the intention to understand this psychological mess (which is responsible for all of the physical and material problems on this planet). Jiddu Krishnamurti is one of the very rare human beings that actually discovered what the one true problem Mankind is suffering from. And unlike a doctor that you go to in order to repair your physiological dysfunction, Krishnamurti cannot fix your mind for you. Nothing that he says or writes can do that task for you. What I mean to say is this… When you are hungry, you may go to a restaurant to request the chef the prepare your meal for you. That is all the chef can do for you. The chef cannot eat the meal on your behalf and you will, therefore, become full. No, of course not. That would be foolish to expect that. Yet, when we listen to a man that is describing what you need to do in order to be sane, we expect his words to magically lift us out of our confusion. So when you listen to J. Krishnamurti, just keep in mind that he is the chef, but it is up to you do “eat” the meal or not. If you refuse to eat it, then don’t blame the chef that you left the restaurant still hungry. He prepared the meal, but you did not eat it. Krishnamurti explains very carefully the nature of madness, but if you refuse to examine it, without bias or judgment, then you are stuck. The outcome of listening to Krishnamurti rests on your shoulders. The real question you must ask yourself is, “Do I really intend to understand my mind and be free of madness?” Don’t answer that question too quickly. Watch your reactions to what Krishnamurti points out about how your mind operates. If you do look at it without resistence, then your intentions to understand are sincere. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourself if you blame him for your lack of understanding. Why is it important to be clear and sane? Well, that should be obvious. The more imbalanced the mind becomes, the more destruction is being done to the entire world, including human beings. We have been programmed to destroy the world and ourselves. Just look around and see the obvious fact. We think that believing in nice sounding words and donating money to disasters is all it will take to fix this damage. It is one big charade and is not eliminating the problem at all. There needs to be a holistic approach to this madness or else Mankind is doomed. You cannot skip over the psychological realm and then dive into fixing the material/physical world. The inner (psychological) world shapes and determines the condition of the outer (material) world. That is an absolute, irrevocable FACT! That is why no matter how good any plan to fix our world sounds on the surface, the psychological ignorance of Humanity bleeds through all of our efforts to bring about physical, financial or peaceful living. There cannot ever be peace without facing and, therefby, understanding our psychological natures 100% honestly. While I am all for energy conservation, organic gardening and eating and healthy living, all of that cannot be sustained by a mind that does not truly understand the error of its ways. So the natural order of reality for humanity to flourish in peace and harmony is to deal with the inner world first then deal with the outer. Man’s ancient mistake has always been to seek solutions for the outer world and then seek to FORCE the mind to behave. That always ends up resulting in bloody revolutions. That will never work, yet Mankind continuously subscribes to the same formula for salvation. To seek a different result while using the same broken formula is , as Albert Einstein once said is the definition of “insanity”. And, he was absolutely right about that. Until the psychological aspect is fully exposed and completely understood for exactly what it is — which is a divisive, conflict generator that eats away at the entire physical/material world, then all plans and goals to establish order in the physical/material world will always ultimately result in disaster, pain and suffering. Mankind’s history gives evidence to that fact. J. Krishnamurti spoke to the United Nations about the futility of using any organization to free Man from his violent nature. Mr. Krishnamurti traveled the world urging Man to look within before he totally destroys this world. But Man will not listen nor learn the error of his/her ways. I see what Krishnamurti was pointing out. Yes, it is painful to OBSERVE exactly how devious thought is. But we really have no choice. For not to observe it and understand it with 100% clarity means physical annihiliation. That is what is at stake here. But most people pretend it is not so. And that pretense is strangling the world day in and day out. It is everyone’s moral responsibility to see the truth about thought. No matter how many beautiful words you use to pretend like one cares, the bottom line is that we don’t care enough to look at our thought process and see the fallacy of “becoming” “believing” and “identifying” (and thrugh that holistic looking free ourselves). This planet is the only home that Humanity has to sustain our lives. And, it is being slowly killed. Once it dies, guess what, we will follow. What is killing this Earth is this (cleverly concealed) darkness which dwells within the consciousness of Mankind. Holistic Observation is the only light that can extinguish/end that darkness (of ignorance). But, human beings generally seek the psychological pleasure of identifying with fabricated ideals in order to numb itself to its true nature. In that way our consciousness can pretend that is being “good”. But in the end, imbalance, inequality and chaos marches on. That imbalance will only stop if we dare to look at the truth about seeking psychological superiority through competition. Competition is poisonous. But for millions of years, the human mind has been brainwashed, programmed or conditioned into accepting (psychological or spiritual) images as being “natural or normal”. However, this identifying with images is unnatural, as well as destructive. Why is that the case? Simply because such identifications can only lead to imbalance both mentally and physically. A thing that is natural brings about balance and order. Clear you can see the Mankind causes imbalance to occur with just about everything that he/she touches. And, that is simply because we live in an artificial dimension of identifying ourselves with images, ideals, beliefs, racial groups, so-called religious groups, etc. All psychological identifications causes division, fragmentation which always results in conflict/violence. The desire to control is the seed of violence. And the endeavor to destroy is insane, because eventually it will come full circle (as was demonstrated by Adolph Hitler). You can’t hurt the world without ending up hurting your own life, because YOU ARE THE WORLD AND THE WORLD IS YOU! This is not a theory, a belief, a supposition or an idea. Your ego operates exactly the same as all egos. It divides and destroys through identifying with a belief — be that belief be negative or positive. They are merely two sides of the same coin of madness. So if you care to bring about a radical change in the world, it must begin within your consciousness by studying it and clearly seeing it for exactly what it is. Not for the purpose of overthrowing it. For, the ego cannot overthrow itself anymore than fire can extinguish its flames. The only water that can douce the psychological flames of confusion is by watching the ego with your entire being, not just with your conceptual thought process that analyses. That is a deadend approach that only leads to self-deception and ruin. We are responsible for this world/society, because WE are society. Is your relationship with people based upon fragmentation or holistic observation? It is one or the other. If it is the former, then you are contributing to the destruction of the world. If it is the latter, then you are creating a new world of inward/mental peace and outward/physical balance. Then when you execute plans to protect our environment and use renewable energy, your psyche will not turn around and sabbotage those projects. Thought builds and destroys what it builds repeatedly. Why? Because it builds the physical/material world with a mind that is in a state of contradition. While the conscious mind says it wants to do good things for our world, the subconscious vetoes that conviction. Why? Because, Mankind never does its spiritual or psychological homework first. We try to create sanity out of beliefs, concepts and images. That is a contradiction in and of itself. Sanity can only exist once your thoroughly SEE or OBSERVE HOLISTICALLY the fallacy of identifying with any image/concept/belief/ideal. Those identifications causes a split in our minds making the conscious mind have the illusion of doing good, while the subconscious demontrates actions of destruction. In order for the conscious and subconscious to be on the same page and not contradict itself, you must actually see, with your entire being, the truth about devoting yourself to an idea/belief/concept can only bring about pain and suffering and destruction in the physical world. This is the universal Truth/Law that no man can change. Like the law of gravity, it is a fact. You can’t argue with facts. To do so is to prove that one is insane.
